Place coverage and missing observations
The static page does not contain a current city observation. Until an official bulletin response is available to the interactive explorer, no live value is published here; missing data must not be read as zero, clean air, or proof that monitoring does not take place. No substitute or guessed reading is used.
A listed city value, when returned by CPCB, applies to that city's bulletin entry and reporting period. It is not a state-wide average. A region or state range is only the lowest-to-highest set of available city bulletin values, not a representative regional statistic. The reporting-station count indicates coverage within the bulletin, not a station-level time series.
Check the bulletin date and source before interpreting or comparing a value. See the CPCB daily AQI bulletins and CPCB's station view directly. The Observatory does not derive station AQI or history from city summaries.
